SPD_A_M1
The SPD from AuréaTechnology is a family of ultra low noise near infrared single photon counting module ideal for the most demanding scientific and industrial applications, such as single photon counting, Time Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC), spectroscopy, eye safe LIDAR, optical communications, and quantum cryptography.
The SPD_A_M1 includes a Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiode (APD) and a thermoelectrically cooler (TEC) that ensures very high detection efficiency, very low dark count, high speed, and low jitter. Thanks to its outstanding high level detection sensitivity the SPD_A_M1 provides significant benefit over existing detectors, such as Micro Channel Plate-Photomultiplier (MCP-PMT) based detectors.
In addition the SPD_A_M1 from AuréaTechnology provides plug-and-play Personal Computer connections via the USB interface which enables to easily adjust the detection efficiency and tune the gate width and delay.
The SPD offers also to the end-user the ability to develop its own Graphical User Interface with LabView or C++.
SPD_A_M2
The advantage of the dual single photon counting module SPD_A_M2 from AuréaTechnology is that the two independent single photon detectors are included in the same case and most importantly are paired during the manufacturing. Thus, the two paired detectors have similar Dark Count Rate and Quantum Efficiency. This device is ideal for Time Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) set-up.
